There are are various trails to take around the reservoirs and surrounding woods. The walk I have specifically done features in the book “Derbyshire & The Peak District: A Dog Walker’s Guide” by Peter Naldrett (available to buy online).

The OS map is Explorer 269 Chesterfield & Alfreton. There are no places selling refreshments along the walk, but when you’ve finished The Peacock Inn at Cutthorpe is a five-minute drive away, and has great food and dogs are welcome in the bar area or you can sit outside if weather permits. There’s also a play area outside for kids.
