Terrain varies due to weather, can be quite muddy, a bit rocky in places. We always start from the corner of Rustlings Road and Oakbrook Road. The route to the cafe is very simple- you can pretty much just follow other walkers!

There are opportunities to take a path to either side of the Porter Brook, but that’s about all you need to know for a simple walk to the cafe and back. You can make it more of a loop by staying left of the Porter Brook on the way out, then coming back on the other side. If you take the route behind the Shepherd’s Wheel you might see kingfishers!
