Bamford Edge
Offering some of the best views in the Peak district
There are lots of different routes you can choose to walk. If you want to climb a hill you can start at the bottom near the plug holes at Ladybower, walk up through the woods, across the top and then down the road back to the start.
If you want to skip the main hill you can park at the top of the road next to the stile (S33 0AD) and then walk up a short but steep section to get to the top. Older children should be fine walking this although there are steep drops on the edge!

We’ve taken my 17 month old daughter up Bamford edge multiple times in the sling or back pack carrier. I would argue Bamford edge provides the best views of Ladybower from anywhere in the Peak District!
