If you drive a bit further down the road you come to the Ladybower visitor centre which has toilets and takeaway hot drinks and food (please note: this is not on the walk route).

Older children would probably be fine doing this walk as the terrain is good. We have taken my 17 month old daughter on the walk in a back pack carrier and a sling when she was younger.
