Sheffield Round walk

Sheffield's 15 mile circuit

Sheffield Round Walk is a 15-mile loop which can be done in one, or it is split into four linear sections that you can do individually (there and back).

  • Section 1 is Porter Valley – Endcliffe Park, Shepherd Wheel, Forge Dam, Mayfield Alpacas, and the Norfolk Arms.

  • Section 2 is Limb Valley – Whirlowbrook Hall, Ecclesall Woods, Abbeydale Miniature Railway.

  • Section 3 is Sheaf Valley – Beauchief Abbey and Graves Park.

  • Section 4 is Gleadless Valley – Meersbrook Park (including Bishops House), the Broadfield pub, and the Antiques Quarter.

Section 1 is flat and easygoing so suitable for children and people with limited mobility.

Section 3 is the toughest, beginning with a steep climb. Each section has somewhere to stop for refreshment, and all sections are accessible by public transport. The route is well signposted.
